A native Albertan, Dr. Penner was born in Viking, Alberta and grew up in Stettler. After obtaining his dental degree from the University of Alberta in 1990, Dr. Penner moved to Calgary where he has been practicing dentistry ever since. His patients describe him as “a soft spoken and gentle caring dentist” and are often surprised when they end up falling asleep while he’s performing a root canal on them! Dr. Penner has interests in various areas of dentistry which include cosmetic and restorative dentistry, endodontics and facial esthetics including Botox therapy. When he’s not busy helping his patients, Dr. Penner finds the time to volunteer with several organizations such as Kindness in Action, Change for Children and the Alex Smiles Clinic. These volunteer endeavors have taken him to places such as Honduras, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Peru, Ecuador, Venezuela and Uganda. In addition, he was instrumental in setting up a low-cost dental facility for the people of Kabale, Uganda. His volunteer duties extend to being a board member of Change for Children, where he imparts his experiences in helping those who are underprivileged. When he is not busy with his dental commitments, Dr. Penner is an avid hockey player (just about made it to the NHL!), enjoys outdoor activities and spending time with his wife and dog. Dr. Penner has a gentle spirit and anyone who meets him feels at ease almost immediately!

Dr. Tejani grew up in the small town of Sherwood Park, Alberta and went on to complete her Bachelor of Science and dental degrees from the University of Alberta. During her studies there, Dr. Tejani played field hockey for the University Pandas team and was a member of the U21 team representing Alberta at Nationals. Being part of a varsity team is an experience she will always remember and one that has helped mould her into being a team player in all aspects of life. After graduating from dentistry in 1998, she moved to Calgary where she began her dental career working in a family practice. Dr. Tejani enjoys all aspects of dentistry, but most especially building long-term relationships with her patients so that she can help them attain the best care possible that they are comfortable with. She feels very priviledged to be part of her patients lives, seeing them grow into adults or just being there as someone they can talk to and confide in. Dr. Tejani joined the Comfort Care team in 2013 and together with Dr. Penner and Dr. Lovick is able to provide years of dental experience to her patients. When she’s not practicing dentistry, Dr. Tejani enjoys spending time with her family and two children, travelling to warm sunny destinations and working out at the gym to help her keep up with her little munchkins!
